Patti LaBelle sang what is probably one of the most beautiful heartbreak songs of all time. But my friend, if you are going through a heartbreak; or perhaps you are experiencing a tough time in your relationship, Jesus wants you to stop looking at that heartbreak and look to Him and He will mend your broken heart. Let Him answer Patti’s I Don’t Do Duets.

Patti sings:
I did it again, I always make the same mistake
When it comes to men, I fall for the guys with the bedroom eyes
It starts out great, but before too long
Mr right turns out to be mr wrong

Jesus says:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

So my friend, Jesus will never change. He loves you with an unchangeable, unshakable love. He will never turn out to be mr wrong.

Patti sings:
He said I love you baby, you're the best I ever knew
But I'm not ready, for anyone like you
This is as far as it goes, and close as it gets
He said you sure sing pretty, but I don't do duets

Jesus says:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Jesus loves you. Of this there is no question.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

He is ready and waiting to receive you into His arms.

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3

But most importantly, this is not as close as it gets. For not only does He want to give you all things, He will come again and receive you to Himself so that where He is, there you may be also.

Patti sings:
He walked in the room, and all he had to do was smile
Waiting in his arms a fool would have known, was a danger zone
His talk was so sweet, but let there be no doubt
While I was moving in, he was movin' out

Solomon sings of Jesus:
“My beloved is white and ruddy,
Chief among ten thousand.
His head is like the finest gold;
His locks are wavy,
And black as a raven.
His eyes are like doves
By the rivers of waters,
Washed with milk,
And fitly set.
His cheeks are like a bed of spices,
Banks of scented herbs.
His lips are lilies,
Dripping liquid myrrh.
His hands are rods of gold
Set with beryl.
His body is carved ivory
Inlaid with sapphires.
His legs are pillars of marble
Set on bases of fine gold.
His countenance is like Lebanon,
Excellent as the cedars.
His mouth is most sweet,
Yes, he is altogether lovely.
This is my beloved,
And this is my friend,
O daughters of Jerusalem!” Song of Solomon 5:5-16

Yes my friend, Jesus is fairest among ten thousand. And best of all, He is not moving out. For He has said,

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

Patti sings:
That I could lose my mind, just let it go

Jesus says:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

Yes my friend, let it go. Let it all go to Jesus.

Patti sings:
I make him happy
I keep him warm
For the rest of his nights

Jesus says:
“I am the resurrection and the life.” John 11:25
“I am the way, the truth and the life.” John 14:6
“I am the bread of life.” John 6:35
“I am the true vine.” John 15:1
“I am the light of the world.” John 8:12
“I am the door.” John 10:9
“I am the good shepherd.” John 10:11

You don’t need to work hard to earn Jesus’ love and affection. In fact, He wants to love you and lavish on you all the blessings you could ever ask for and more. Because before you even knew Him, He already said,

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

“And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.” John 14:13-14

So my friend, beloved child of God, sing,
Enough of I love you baby, you're the best I knew
No more I'm not ready, for any one like you
I'm not gonna fall for those lies, those lies and regrets
Not gonna sing so pretty if he don't do duets
I don't wanna make the same mistakes again
Not gonna sing so pretty if he don't do duets

Stop living in your heartbreak. Look to Jesus. Let Him love you and fall in love with Him again. He invented duets.
