The most common accessory in cars today is the GPS. Most of us are so reliant on our GPS that reading maps has already become a lost art. So if we are lost spatially, we rely on our GPS. But what if we are lost spiritually? What do we rely on?

Friend, Jesus wants you to know that if you are lost spiritually, it is not a ‘what’ that you need to turn to, but a ‘who’. And that ‘who’ is Jesus.

Jesus knows what we all are looking for. He knows that we need provision and protection, which spawn from love. That is why He tells us,

“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:25-34

In this passage, Jesus tells us where we should be setting our destination for, if it is provision, protection and love that we are looking for. It is the kingdom of God. Now that’s easy, isn’t it? Look to heaven. But there’s the other bit, “and His righteousness”. What is God’s righteousness?

The apostle Paul tells us very clearly,

“But of Him, you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God – and righteousness and sanctification and redemption” 1 Corinthians 1:30

Jesus Christ has become for us righteousness. So when we seek His righteousness, we are really seeking Jesus! And you know what? We don’t need to seek Jesus, because He is already looking for you.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20

All we need to do is heed his call and open the door of our hearts to Him! Such love! Such simplicity!

And beloved child of God, if you think that you have wronged Him, that you do not qualify for His love, protection and provision, Jesus wants you to know that because He has died for you on the cross,

“By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.” Hebrews 10:10

“For by one offering, He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” Hebrews 10:14

“then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” Hebrews 10:17

So you have been forgiven once and for all. And it stays that way. Nothing you can ever do can undo that fact. And because of His dying for you on the cross, you qualify for all the provision and protection that Jesus has promised throughout the Bible for you because He loves you.

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,” Ephesians 2:13-14

Jesus has drawn us close. He has drawn us near. So we never need fear that we don’t qualify any more.

GPS sometimes require updates to remain relevant. And subscription to updates come at a price. But our heavenly GPS, Jesus, never needs updates.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

So by that same token, His love for you is the same yesterday, today and forever. Your salvation is the same yesterday, today and forever. You qualify for His love and blessings in the same measure, yesterday, today and forever. It is not because of anything you have done, and nothing you do can make you deserve it more. It is all because of Him. He Himself is our peace and He Himself has broken down the middle wall of separation.

So stop letting the world distract you from the best destination that you can ever set. Let Jesus be your GPS and let your Father’s kingdom and riches and blessings be your destination.

And if by some chance you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and at this time you would like to make Jesus your GPS, say this prayer with me,

“My loving heavenly Father, thank You for sending Jesus to die on the cross for me. Thank You that through the shedding of His blood, He has sanctified me and made me clean. Thank You Father that though I was a sinner, condemned to die, Jesus took my place at the cross, so that I don’t have to any more. He has saved me and because He has saved me, You now look upon me as clean, as sanctified, as Your beloved child and I now am favored and loved. Thank You Father and I now make Your kingdom my ultimate destination and I know that with Jesus as my GPS, I am already there, enjoying the richness of Your blessings here on earth. In Jesus name, Amen.”

Beloved child of God, Jesus has qualified you. Start looking to Him and enjoying the richness of Your Father’s kingdom today.
